A long-time Nevada resident, Ron graduated from Las Vegas High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. While pursuing his degree, he served four years in the United States Air Force Reserves. After attending UNLV, Mr. Harris obtained his CPA certification through the Nevada State Board of Accountancy. Early in his career, Ron accepted a position with Arthur Anderson, LLC, (the world’s most prestigious public accounting firm at the time) where he gained valuable experience in the areas of taxation and auditing. Mr. Harris later joined Southwest Gas Corporation where he was involved in the areas of Internal Audit, Corporate Planning, Internal Financial Reporting, and Financial Forecasting.

In 2002, Ron began the rewarding journey of assisting the public by founding the accounting firm, Ron Harris, CPA, an Accountancy Corporation. After 10 successful years in business, and with the intention of providing clients with a greater number of services, Ron Harris, CPA formed Ascend CPA & Advisors, LLC. Ascend has been helping clients since 2011. As a dedicated business owner and family man, Ron understands the importance of having the ability to successfully manage a business while balancing family time. Mr. Harris’ primary focus is to help you achieve success and peace of mind through careful tax planning and operations analysis.
